The San Antonio River Improvements Project is a $279 million on-going investment by the City of San Antonio, Bexar County, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the San Antonio River Foundation in flood control, amenities, ecosystem restoration and recreational improvements along 13 miles of the San Antonio River. The project began a decade ago, and has involved extensive community dialogue, creative partnership ideas, and innovative funding strategies.
